Yep, still happens in 13w10b. Such weird and easy-to-fix bugs need more upvotes !!! |

when you make it faceing East to west it keeps all the blocks EXCEPT the last wither head placed and the soul sand it was put on. all 3 dimentions and all three difficulties and all gamemodes. |

Why is this weird bug still not fixed? Does Mojang never create a Whiter when testing their own game? |

Its a directional bug. And it sucks in servers that have Mob griefing OFF. |

This is still able to be done in 13w07a. However, i could only get it o happen when facing either north, or south, and building the wither facing me(i.e. I stand facing north and build the wither with the skulls facing south) Ill Attach screenshots of it happening. |

also, ive been adding this bug to the NOTABLE BUGS section on the wiki's snapshots posts. I really need this fixed before 1.5 and We might only get one more snapshot before 1.5. |

The arms must be directed West-East (regardless the Wither always faces south). The one Soul Sand that disappears will be the one underneath the last head you place. My long-shot bet is that this is misbehaving code, meant to solve the following ambiguous situation: Stack two Soul Sands, and around the top Soul Sand, attach four Soul Sand arms. On those four arms, place heads. You'll see that if you place one in the center, the game has to choose which one to activate, the West-East totem, or the North-South totem. It always activates the North-South totem correctly, and leaves intact the West-East arms. It seems to correspond, which is the only reason I bring it up. |

Able to reproduce in 13w04a. The wither skulls disappear, and the right arm soul sand block disappears. Update: Upon logging out and back in, prior to the wither exploding, the blocks disappear. |

Added a couple of screenshots to prove this bug can be reproduced in all dimensions. |

seems for me to work in the overworld but not in the nether. this is a major bug and it will be horrible if it DOES NOT GET FIXED before 1.5 which I am predicting will be after 13w06a/b or whatever letter |

Added a screenshot to confirm this bug, to show how to reproduce it and to prove it's caused by the facing direction. |

You need to be on at least easy mode. Not peaceful |

I tried that and a wither didn't spawn at all. The blocks just stayed |
