When a repeater is placed on side of a trapped chest (not front or back) and pointed away with redstone wire connected to it going in a U and down one block.It turns at the block behind the block below the chesh and facing perpendicular with the back of the chest the signal only travels 4 blocks. |

It seems like the trapped chest itself is cutting off the signal or something. Very weird behavior, although I'm sure someone could explain it simply and/or correct me on my theory. |
