that was quick. thank you, dinnerbone!

"Resolved" and "Fixed for future version" means that it's fixed but that version isn't released yet. We plan to do a 'b' snapshot soon, keep an eye on the blog.

Comment by Paulquappe [ 11/Jan/13 ]

can confirm this. using a nvidia as well.

also, one question: what means "resolved" here? i mean, the donwload at mojang.com is not another, so ... do we have to wait until the next snapshot? a little bit confused

Comment by Nathan Roybal [ 10/Jan/13 ]

mine is just a black screen

Comment by Saphirian [ 10/Jan/13 ]

Oh weird. It really does work when running as administrator.

Comment by Kevin Sillerud [ 10/Jan/13 ]

On Windows you can just run the minecraft launcher as an administrator, the problem is that it cant open a file called "stitched_terrain.png"

here is the full stacktrace from the console
"java.io.FileNotFoundException: stitched_terrain.png (Ingen tilgang)

Edit: Seems like the texture get put into the working directory, in most cases that is in the Desktop, but i was running with a shortcut with working directory in JRE7 home directory i did not have write permission without running as administrator.

My crash report, also having the same problem

Comment by Daniel Whitmer [ 10/Jan/13 ]

My Crash Report for this same problem as well

Comment by Mustek [ 10/Jan/13 ]

Okay, issue has been confirmed as existing, jar signature is a weird thing, but it's not modded.

Comment by Saphirian [ 10/Jan/13 ]

The normal way, replaced my old minecraft.jar (backing it up before though) with the snapshot one. Maybe it's a graphics card issue? Everybody I've seen having this crash is using a Nvidia graphics card, including me.

Comment by Rodrigo Serna [ 10/Jan/13 ]

Mine is also crashing but only when I login to the server if I play single player it works ok. I added my crash log.
(edit) It crashes in single player after a while

Comment by Mustek [ 10/Jan/13 ]

How did you install the snapshot?

Comment by Alberto Salazar Muñoz [ 10/Jan/13 ]

It seems it's happening also on OSX, but not for me. I have an ATI graphics though...

Comment by Saphirian [ 10/Jan/13 ]

Having the same problem. :/
