 Description

When a creeper exploded, I covered up it's hole. I expected the dirt
drops to come up normally. Instead, it stuck between other blocks.

This Issue as far as i can tell has been for the most part resolved as of
1.7.8 However every so often when drops fall into a confined space this
issue reemerges.

No response for over a year.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.8.1 Prerelease 3 / Launcher version 1.5.3 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Issue still occurs in build version 1.7.4. Some blocks (stone, grass) still looks as shown on screenshots already attached.
Please note that I've noticed it while playing on server, but not much when playing offline (singleplayer). I think its worth to metion this.

Actually in 1.5.1 the issue has gotten worse...
Now the block drops flail violently trying to approach the player.
So far i have seen this issue with cobblestone, sand, sandstone, experience orbs, nethrerack (in and out of nether), and wood of all types. now when the block drops try to approach the player the block will bounce off of other blocks and not be added to the inventory.

Does anyone think this bug/glitch will be fixed in1.5, when they make a new way to render the game?

Comment by Kumasasa [ 09/Jan/13 ]

Ok, title reverted.

I could still pick up the item, but the appearance was buggy.

Comment by Kumasasa [ 09/Jan/13 ]

Reopened, since MC-15 was fixed for 1.4.3.
See comment in MC-810

Duplicate of MC-15

Sometimes it happens, as well as other versions do.
