 Description

Minecraft won't conect to LAN worlds, when I updated to 1.4.2 me an my friend starter a LAN world. The minuet I joined(I was in the world) it said "lost connection" or "connection timed out". When I tried to rejoin the world wasn't in the "scanning for LAN worlds". The same goes for my friend when I was the host.

What I expected to happen was...:
To join the LAN world

What actually happened was...:
It says "connection lost" or "connection timed out" then the option of wich worlds are on LAN Is not there.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Joined a LAN world
2. The minuet the world appares minecraft says "connection lost" or "connection timed out"
3. LAN worlds don't show up in the scanning for LAN world. The same goes for multiplayer servers.

I get this same problem. It is intermittent, and has happened once with a remote (www) connection attempt, and many times from the same pc (I only have 1 or 2 other people that use the server, so I run it and my MC window from the same pc. Had no problems with it until 1.4.2.). It usually (but not always) happens after I have been playing, and I disconnect while leaving the server running. When I come back, it responds with one of the messages above, and the server log shows "(player) (/IP Address) lost connection", while showing no attempt to connect, and giving no reason for the disconnect.
Again, I have had no problems with it until the update, so I am reasonably certain it's not my firewall.

Please give us more information about your network. Are you both on a local LAN or are you trying to connect over www?

That must be the firewall blocking java and minecraft from external connections.
