 Description

When you look at a dropped regular or redstone torch, there is a visual glitch on the side of the 3D item.

Sorry for necroposting - I still have this sort of issue, where there are lines on my screen when I am set on fire in any way. There can be between 1 line and 4 thick lines. Please help!

That's MC-32295

Still present in 1.7.2. Additionally, when a torch is held, there is a thin line extending out the side of the torch, along the same line as the division between the top and second from the top pixels in the texture (on either default textures or a 16x16 texture resource pack, haven't tested other resolution packs yet)

Looks like higher resolution packs show the problem even more and with other held items, as well. (Tested with Ravand's 256x256 pack where dropped torches showed a black box at certain points in the rotation and held items with curves showed lines extending from pixel borders)

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

@Alper Yetis: Is there no torch before or behind you when you bathe in lava (in MC-6966 there is a torch and in some of the screens of MC-6793 (especially in https://mojang.atlassian.net/secure/thumbnail/18095/_thumb_18095.png ) too)

Comment by Alex de la Cruz [ 18/Jan/13 ]

@Luci: Do you see a relation to MC-1794 ?

Comment by Luci [ 18/Jan/13 ]

A similar bug also happens in Lava without any item when you play fullscreen. ( can you make the summary and discription more general ? )
