 Description

Hoppers will only place items into the first (top) inventory slot of furnaces. New types of items/blocks or stacks of items/blocks will not move into the fuel slot.

Pictures of the set-up being used are all taken without changes made in between shots.

See MC-6972.

I can safely say this was not fixed with the other issue, as I just set up an auto-smelter, and even with coal in the fuel slot, it still wouldn't stick in any others that I gave it, it was waiting for the top slot. I don't code (yet), but maybe there's some way to reuse the shift-clicking behavior with hoppers, so that they know what fuel is and where it goes, and the same with smelt-able items?

... and please remember: Hoppers are work in progress so expect any weird behaviour now.

It is a duplicate.
Yet Hoppers push items in both slots, regardless of their kind.

Not a duplication of another, checked using the search function and no other issues match. The issue linked is not of the same matter. I did two tests, one of of the array and the one in the array. Items are not being placed into the fuel slot even when there are more to be placed in it.
