 Description

When hovering over an inventory icon that has an item/block in it, it causes the map to light up. This can be reproduced using the Anvil, "E" inventory menu, Crafting Table, anything that has your inventory.

P.S. Yes, I know how to take a screenshot in MC, but I didn't know if the glitch would appear in it.

It is now MC-89996

Comment by [Mod] redstonehelper [ 07/Oct/15 ]

Oh, I get it now. I think it's best to create a new ticket for this since this issue has always been about maps in item frames.

Look closely at the hopper Minecart on the right, it slightly changes color. It would be the best if you test it out yourself because it is not that visible in the video

Comment by [Mod] redstonehelper [ 07/Oct/15 ]

Are you sure you uploaded the right video? I don't see an issue.

Comment by Marcono1234 [ 07/Oct/15 ]

Added short video to showcase the bug

Marcono1234: Attach some screenshots please.

Having this issue still with 13w05b and the newest AMD driver

OpenGL: AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series GL version 4.2.12002 Compatibility Profile Context 9.12.0.0, ATI Technologies Inc.
Comment by Sealbudsman [ 01/Feb/13 ]

I updated my driver, and this doesn't occur anymore for me. Snapshots and releases alike. Before, I could reproduce it anytime I wanted. Now I can't at all. NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE nForce 430.

Also in 13w05a. Oftentimes for me if it is not happening, I stand in front of a map, lot out then in again, and it will start happening. Not sure what criteria makes it stop happening.

Comment by Russell Richardson [ 12/Jan/13 ]

It might just be a driver issue, so I don't think it'll be fixed.

Comment by Sealbudsman [ 11/Jan/13 ]

also in 1.4.7.

Comment by Kumasasa [ 08/Dec/12 ]

Confirmed with 12w49a

Comment by Russell Richardson [ 08/Dec/12 ]

It's any type of "inventory"

Comment by MisterSanderson [ 08/Dec/12 ]

No only inventory, but furnace too, like my screenshots show.

Comment by A Y [ 02/Dec/12 ]

Hello, can confirm. I found this bug today, too => I have win 7 64 bit, Java 7 64 bit => If i place an itemframe and put a map in it and open my inventory with 'e' and my mouse is inside the inventory gui the map gets bright and if i go outside of the gui it gets dark

Comment by Russell Richardson [ 22/Nov/12 ]

Hmm.. That's very well possible. Java on Mac OS is really derpy at times (Especially LWJGL)
Edit: Also, very sorry. I had this tagged very badly. I've added some more tags to help others find it.

Comment by Russell Richardson [ 04/Nov/12 ]

Well. Could be, these are standard drivers though... Not sure.

Comment by Stijn Brouwer [ 04/Nov/12 ]

Isn't this a driver bug? I had the same kind of thing when I ran MC on an AMD under Linux.

Can't reproduce here on Win7 as per screenshots
