 Description

Put the summary of the bug you're having here

*What I expected to happen was...: Double trapped chests make one sound when opening and closing, like normal chests.

*What actually happened was...: Double trapped chests make two sounds.
Describe what happened here

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a double trapped chest
2. Open and listen

EDIT: The game needs to be saved and reloaded after the double trapped chest was placed, double trapped chests made during the same session do not reproduce the bug. (Thanks Nico)

Confirmed in 1.7.2

How to duplicate:
1. Open a chest, then after half a second, close it using the "e" key, same with the trapdoor, instead open the inventory, doors, fall Damage, trapdoors, regular chests, etc all are buggy.

13w04a have this bug.

I see the opposite to this issue; I have a set of three double trapped chests that don't make /any/ sound when opened and closed, although most of my trapped chests do make the expected noises. The silent chests may have sound restored when I log out and in again - will update comment if I find they consistently don't.

Edit: It's consistent. I've flagged the opposite issue as MC-6753.

Steps to reproduce in CSP:

  • Place a single trapped chest
  • Place a single regular chest
  • Leave world
  • Reenter world
  • Place another single trapped chest besides the first placed
  • Place another single regular chest besides the first placed
  • Listen to the sounds...

Confirmed.

Nico is right, you have to save and reload the game after the double trapped chest has been placed, otherwise it wont make the sound.

Got the same problem. You have to reload the world. Now the double trapped chests make this sound, the new created ones not.
