 Description

Logically all three of these should produce the same results as the formula is "Output = Side - Input" results in 13 - 15 = -2.

However, the first one in the row acts as of it's first Comparator is an inverter more like the second screen shot (which logically is 15 - 13 = 2).

Can we get clarification as to this behavior. As this is causing a lot of folks confusing including myself.

Accepted that one has to do a Comparator to a Comparator in this mode, but again this isn't resolve as "duplicate" as the other aspect of this is the math is negative which makes no sense within the context.

"A == Input from front.
B == Strongest input from side given through another comparator.
O == Output from back.

Subtract mode (Right click):
O = B - A"

Which results in 2 for the left side, and -2 on the right.

Where the negative number is throwing people.

Comparator behavior in detail described by Dinnerbone in MC-5736.
