If you hit the enderegg and if it happens to fall into the enderportal(going home) it dissapears. |

Too bad this got closed.. my spawn was the second place i looked after it happend. Still no sign of the dragon egg. "Works as intended" implyes that the egg should dissapear when it falls into the portal? the egg was still in block form. |

I think it gets sent back to spawn point in the end (obsidian platform), or at least it did in some snapshot. |

It'll be at your Overworld main spawn point! Use a compass |

Benjamin, this is correct, however I have experienced trouble sending mobs/entities back because they don't spawn in a specific location, rather they spawn at there spawn location. I have never sent something from the end successfully. |

Home portals in the end have now (in 1.4.1 update) the same abilities as the nether portals, they will transport loots and mobs to other sides. So what might have happen was that when you pushed the egg with a piston it falled through the home portal and went in your overworld! Therefore it's probably not a bug. |
