No answer on querry, assuming no longer an issue.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Don't feel stupid, most people don't know what batch files are. Batch files put stuff into your command prompt when you run them. To make a batch file, open notepad and paste that into notepad. When saving, save it as "TestRun.bat" and run it. (Run it in the same folder as your minecraft.exe is in)

Okay, so I tried the single player thing, but single player does the same thing where it closes on game entry. Also how do you use a batch file? I sound dumb asking that, but I really don't know.

... and please start Minecraft by the following batch file

java -Xmx1g -Xms512M -cp Minecraft.exe net.minecraft.LauncherFrame
pause

maybe there is written something on the console, please attach it here.

Forcing a crash on the main screen doesn't work, but you can do a forced crash in single player.

Comment by Logan Hubbard [ 28/Dec/12 ]

I've tried that many times, but it never works because the program closes too quickly after I enter the server. Would it work if I crashed it on the main screen? Because there's no way I can get that 10 seconds in there before it closes.

OK, reopened.
But please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while ingame and attach the crash report here.

what happened in the video is basically the same as me, except i have 1.4.6 and i used vanilla servers.

Comment by Logan Hubbard [ 28/Dec/12 ]

i didnt make the video, because i have the current version 1.4.6. and also the server in the video isnt the one i tried i tried servers that i found directly off of the minecraft forums site.

You have Minecraft 1.1 (One point One), the current version is 1.4.6 .

and

This ticket is invalid as it relates to a modded or 3rd party client/server.

  • Any non-standard client/server build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
  • Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the plugin creator.
  • This site is for addressing issues related to the base unmodded MineCraft.
Comment by Dean Baset [ 28/Dec/12 ]

Sir, that is a bukkit server. Not a vanilla one.
Please reproduce with a vanilla server.

Comment by Kumasasa [ 28/Dec/12 ]

Please do the forced crash in single player.

Comment by Logan Hubbard [ 28/Dec/12 ]

this exactly what happens, except the command prompt in the beginning.

Please force a crash by pressing F3 + C for 10 seconds while ingame and attach the crash report here.
