This one is pretty straight forward. On a vanilla server with PVP mode off, weapon (and tool) durability seems to decrease when hitting a player. This can be pretty annoying in combat when accidentally hitting the player in no-PVP still eats durability. Tested with a wooden sword, after rapidly clicking the sword was destroyed within a minute. |

You have to remember that swords take durability when they impact a mob and do damage to the sword even when they aren't dealing damage to the mob (the invulnerable period between spam attacks). This is along those lines so if one is fixed then they probably should both be. |

This is kinda a bug because the sword has 0 effect on the player after hitting him, but still eats durability, which makes no sense. |

This is kinda not a bug because it will still render as it hits a mob, so it decrease the durability and make the sword break. So it could be fix but this is not a bug. |
