 Description

Confirmed this on SSP and on SMP.

Whenever I hear one of those "scary" cave sounds (http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Ambience), they sort of get chopped off before they fade away, killing the scary aspect of the sound. it happens with almost every one of them that goes on for a bit, like Cave 5 in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwcgG7ZYlFE

Not much more to say about the issue.

Nah I think it's fine now, they don't get chopped off in the middle anymore

Delete your resources folder and then download the sounds again.I had the same problem but it got fixed when I deleted my resources folder and downloaded the sounds again

The cave sounds were not corrupted, all of them were exactly the same as the original, and they played fine in Windows Media Player, without being chopped off.

I'll try this and put the result in a comment below.

Does this only happen with the cave sounds? If so it's possible the audio files are corrupted, and need to be re-downloaded.
