| Description |
|
The texture for mossy cobble is offset from regular cobble by half a block. This makes the tiling slightly jarring. Swapping the top and bottom halfs of the mossy texture around would solve this. |

This is fixed in the 1.14 snapshots for the new default textures, but not for the programmer art. |

This is not a feature request, it is an annoying incorrect texture which should not be like it is. |

Indeed it is. |

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. |

The problem isn't that it doesn't line up. The problem is that cobble was changed and mossy was not. The current mossy is just a recolour of the old. I've uploaded an attachment to show what we need. It shows the original, current, and desired cobble + mossy. |

Is still an issue in 13w05a. But AFAIK in fact cobllestone texture is the one that is off pattern by a half of a block. The two surely do not blend together visually. |

I mean when you place, say, a floor or wall of cobble, it makes a repeating tiling pattern. Mossy cobble does the same, but it's texture is offset from cobble's by half a block so when you try to mix them together the tiling breaks. |

Do you mean when you place cobble on top of moss stone? |
