 Description   

When shooting a Fire Charge out of a dispenser on a server, it either turns invisible or moves abruptly, jumping forward or rubberbanding back. They still reach their destination at the right time, so this is just a visual glitch. The client may not be accurately predicting the movement of the fire charge. This bug has been around since they were first introduced.

Yes. This is strictly server based. This has never been an issue single player.

Perhaps the bug title should include that info.

Confirmed for 14w31a.
Could a Moderator update the description/title? There is no lag at all. The shot fire charge is simply invisible.
If this report suggests that the fire charges are moving improperly, that's false and should be updated or resolved with one of the "duplicates" reopened that explains the visual glitch properly. This bug report has been present since January 2013 and has had apparently no attention from the Mojang devs.

Invisible fire charges on any server is a pretty noticeable bug. The fire charge is visible for a split second on despensing and you can see the fire where it lands, but there is no animation of movement.

Not laggy, but in 14w18a there is still no visual fireball.

Would this also be related to not being able to properly summon SmallFireballs through spawners or command blocks, as well as them disappearing after re-logging?

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.7.4 / Launcher version 1.3.8 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.
