 Description

When I start up Minecraft normally and enter an existing world, the client gets stuck at the building terrain.

What I expected to happen was to get into the game.

What actually happened was that the client simply froze at the 'building terrain' part and then after a while it reverted back to the main screen.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Minecraft.exe
2. login
3. select singleplayer mode
4. enter an existing world

You mean after entering the world is laggy ?

Comment by victor [ 25/Dec/12 ]

It's fixed in minecraft 1.4.6 but it's very laggy.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

no, and I recently attached a crash report

Sounds to me like you may have a corrupted world file (or something similar). Did at any point you close the client without quitting/saving?

yes

Does this only occur for a specific world?

Comment by victor [ 17/Dec/12 ]

still does not resolve bug

You should first remove your current java installation (should be in the 'remove programs' list), then download and install java from the java website here.

how do you downgrade java?

Comment by [Mod] CubeTheThird [ 16/Dec/12 ]

Does this still occur if you downgrade your java version to 7u9 (the official release)?
