 Description

Using the scroll wheel on osx as an inventory selector results in inventory selection whipping around wildly, given the nature of "magic mouse" & touchpad mice, it's just kind of bad all around.

Not sure if there's a "fix" possible, though disabling the mouse binding for inventory selection might be good enough.

As it is, scroll wheel inventory selection on osx is unusable.

No answer on querry, assuming no longer an issue.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Scroll with Inertia in System Preferences, under Mouse/Trackpad

This is also true for any trackpad or mouse with touch scrolling or mouse wheels that don't click while scrolling. The user can't predict how far to scroll using touch input, while a clicking mouse wheel makes this easier.

I don't see a scroll with inertia option in minecraft 1.4.7.

In any event, yes, it's still a concern.

Turn off the "Scroll with Inertia" option.

That will fix it.
