 Description

When I threw a potion of invisibility at a wolf it turned invisible. I then pushed it into water with a sticky piston. It then turned visible again. I have not tried this with any other mobs yet.

Dinnerbone, will this behavior be present in all mobs eventually ( getting wet and reduced invisibility effectiveness ), or will it always be unique to wolves?

Wolves get wet in the water and thus aren't as effective against invisibility.

So is this a bug or not?

Ohh ok thank you for the input.

This is because the wolf obtained a new texture. No other mob does this, therefor it is specific to the wolf, which looks wet when in the water.
