 Description

What I expected to happen was...:
The skeleton should be joined with the spider.

What actually happened was...:
Instead, only the spider moved, while the skeleton seemed to stay on his position. (After killing the spider, the skeleton stood there normally.)

Steps to Reproduce:
Try to find a spider jockey. (Or add some method to spawn spider jockeys and then spawn them till the bug appears.)

Or they can just ask for this issue to be reopened.

I didn't saw this again yet so it might be fixed. If it happens again one can clone this report, right?

Comment by Anon Ymus [ 22/Mar/13 ]

Does this still exist in 1.5? Week 09 snapshots added better handling of stacked mobs, so perhaps this is fixed.

This can be duplicated by LAN one player goes on a pig an from an other view the pig moves but player remains in a sitting position in midair and doesn't move with the saddled pig like usual

@Nico: So it's still in the latest snapshot? Should I update the affected version or should the mod do?

Comment by Nico [ 16/Dec/12 ]

i got this bug once in the snapshop 12w49a
or 50a i dont remember

Comment by Josh Miller [ 05/Dec/12 ]

(Again I don't know if the bug is still there, because it only happened once for me.)

But, I don't think that it is a good workflow to ask the bug-reporter (for every valid non-fixed bug) if the bug still affects the newest version. Instead Mojang should close bugs if they think they were fixed, but we should be able to re-open bugs if they're not.

This bug happens very infrequently so I'm not sure, but why should it be fixed?

Comment by Tails [ 25/Nov/12 ]

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Duplicated by MC-2093.

Same bug for me

Comment by Chalmes (Jon) [ 25/Oct/12 ]

Absolutely agree.

Comment by Josh Miller [ 25/Oct/12 ]

But it clearly did happen (which might cause other problems nobody knows). Even if it is an extremely rare bug, it's still a bug that should be solved.

Can't reproduce here, spawned a bunch of spiders using a rapid-fire dispenser and eggs and the spider jockeys that showed all seemed to work correctly.
