 Description

As shown in the pictures from a distance the End portal turns invisible, when it should look "starry" as usual.

Resolved as duplicate of MC-3336 , since a lot of blocks are affected.

I don't think so, Tim.
In MC-3607 it's only the spiders and Endermen which are rendered white. The other Mobs are rendered normal and vanish in the fog.

Also related to MC-3607.

Not anymore then! Due to that, it would be a bug then. Not a feature.

Comment by Kumasasa [ 11/Dec/12 ]

In the bugfix list of 12w38a: Item frames no longer despawn (read: disappear) when the player moves 20 blocks away.

Yes, change the summary.
But who knows if this a bug or a feature e.g. for reducing the rendering load ?

Comment by ReduxMC [ 11/Dec/12 ]

Should I change it to portal stops rendering from a distance, or is this not really a bug?

Comment by [Mod] CubeTheThird [ 11/Dec/12 ]

I also cannot reproduce it being specifically white, though yes it does disappear after a certain distance.

Comment by Kumasasa [ 11/Dec/12 ]

I didn't measure the distance, but I suspect a relation to MC-3336

It's not white, it's just invisible.
See my screenshot, there is green and purpel wool under the portal.
At a certain distance the portal isn't rendered anymore.
