| Description |

The enchantment table does not change enchantment levels when bookshelves are around (flying letters animation does play). If it is moved outside the ring of shelves everything works fine. Shelves are piston-controled if that matters. Retracting and extending does not help. The world is run on a server. |

Could you at least allow carpet between the table and shelves? |

Tails: Do you have information indicating that this is how it is supposed to work? There doesn't seem to be anything gained by letting transparent blocks such as torches, levers, pressure plates block the "magic". It confounded me for quite a while, not doubt many players have unwittingly run into this problem. |

There must not be any blocks - even transparent blocks like torches - between table and bookshelves. |

Torches are blocking the bookshelves. |
