 Description   

When throw a firework at a dark place (like caves) it dont make light. Is it on purpose?

What I expected to happen was...:
Make light on dark.

What actually happened was...:
It didn't make light.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to a dark place, with fireworks.
2. Place the firework on fireplace, you see it dont make light.

(If the firework was a block, then it could give off light, but it is an entity.)

Currently this is Working as Intended.

There is no dynamic lightening in Minecraft, it would be too resource heavy. Hand-held torches don't give off light either for this reason.

Maybe this will be changed, when the lighting engine will be rewritten. Maybe for 1.5 "Redstone Update", maybe later...
