Making this short and simple, If the squids are on the upper layer of water blocks in some river or ocean or lake. They will begin to suffocate and die. This can also occur if they're near the upper water blocks as well. |

Its because part of them touch the air and they now suffocate in the air. This should be changed so squids don't die in air while touching water. |

I can confirm that. I find inc sacks very often in shallow water. I've also seen a squid diing in shallow water once. |
