 Description

The bug

When you use fireworks item on a side of a block, fireworks_rocket is summoned with its collision box partly inside that block, which makes it stuck under the block right above it and explode/disappear there.

Expected behavior

fireworks_rocket should be summoned right next to the block, fully outside of it

Confirmed for 1.13.1. Please, keep the ticket updated.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.8.1 Prerelease 3 / Launcher version 1.5.3 or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Confirmed.

League Dude, I don't see redstone, enderdragons, zombies, giant spiders, or people punching trees down in real life. Does that mean that all of these are not intended?

I watched the video and I still think I'm correct. Fireworks are affected by blocks. Launch some from the ground underneath a block above. They will get stuck below it.

pics or it didn't happen. no but seriously, how did you manage to do that?

Comment by rigby [ 08/Dec/12 ]

Maarten, I actually have.

Comment by Maarten Thijs [ 08/Dec/12 ]

just a quick question. have you EVER seen anyone fire a firework from a wall? because all the firework i've ever seen is launched from the ground.

Comment by Dean Baset [ 08/Dec/12 ]

Orion, please check the video.

It probably isn't intended, but I'm not sure.

Comment by Orion Humphrey [ 08/Dec/12 ]

I really think this is intended. Also the firework from the creative menu doesn't have a specific color or shape so it just doesn't do anything.

Comment by Dean Baset [ 08/Dec/12 ]

Confirmed in 12w49a. Also works with small ball fireworks, haven't tested with other kinds.
