So I have a stage based on Call of duty Nazi Zombies and I had dispensers put behind 1 block to hide them. The path of least distance was where the items popped out. Which was downward. What actually happened was the items never went downward they popped out up and to the sides, aka the path of most distance. 1. Place a dispenser and wire it up to a button. Now this hole is the path of least distance(or resistance) and the item should just pop out on the empty space on the bottom layer. ALTERNATIVELY you can move that dispenser outward 1 replace that spot where the dispenser was with a block then break the very center block of that 3x3x3 cube. |

>[Mod] Tails added a comment - 06/Feb/13 5:27 AM Meaning, the current behavior is as intended, and that you should update your map, rotating the dispensers. |

I just downloaded the latest Snapshot as of 2/16/13 and this issue still persists. It is not resolved. Instead now it just flings the item out of the top in the forward direction like the dispensor is facing up and a wind carried it forward. |

Fixed by adding the abbility for Dispensers to shoot downwards. |

Do you know this 100%? Because this unfortunate and seemingly useless update sucks. If so, is there any other way that you know of to make it pop down? |

This is not a bug. In 1.4.* they changed that items now go upwards if they are in a solid block. If you have a piller 3 by 3 and whatever you put upwards. Then if you put the items IN a center block it will now go upwards not to the nearest hole. |
