Edit in your .minecraft/options.txt the line

pauseOnLostFocus:false

to

pauseOnLostFocus:true

and see if that still happens. If not then - as described above - some other software on your computer is stealing the focus of Minecraft.

If this is still happening please upload an error report without any modifications and preferably a single player world to make sure no serverside things are interfering.

I don't want to start a new error report, I keep getting in trouble for only reading 50 items that appear after a search for what I think should show me any matches to my issue.

Anyway I am playing on an unmoddified single player, and I get the game going into game menu if the game has been left idle for a short time. not every 32 seconds it just happens. So I can't leave the game to process ore or cook chickens while I get a coffee, when I return the game is in game menu. snapshot 13w48b

This ticket is invalid as it relates to a modded or 3rd party client/server.

  • Any non-standard client/server build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
  • Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the plugin creator.
  • This site is for addressing issues related to the base unmodded MineCraft.

it is a computer problem not a problem with minecraft for instance you have left a social messaging program open and are reciveing messages this causes the game to pop up the menu and ait for you to return i think this is actually quite user useful because if they are suddenly distracted they wont get blown up by their little green friends

Comment by Chalmes (Jon) [ 25/Nov/12 ]

My guess? Some other process is forcibly taking focus away from the game. This causes the game to automagically pop the menu up.

Please press F3 + C for 10 seconds in-game for a forced crash and attach the resulting crash report here.
