| Description |

Any time you try to grow a tree with bone meal, even if the tree is not grown, a bone meal is used. To reproduce: 1. Plant sapling. 2. Restrict tree's ability to grow 3. Use bone meal on sapling 4. Keep trying until you have no more bone meal 5. Be sad |

This functionality (including the most recent comment on taking a couple tries to grow) is intended. |

Confirmed. However, if you put 4 Jungle saplings together under some sort of roof or something, because big trees vary in height it may take a few tries to get it to work. While consuming 1 bone meal each time it doesn't work. I'd say this is intended. |

I think this may be intended. The sapling needs bone meal to grow, but then it can't grow. So, it's like a failed attempt at growing, which should cost the same. |
