Well whatever the case, the creepers are technically shorter now, which means their hitbox needs to be adjusted. In fact they are noticably shorter now, and if you look at their hitbox size and eye level with F3+b, you can see their hitbox & eye level are also noticably shorter. This of course will make them even sneakier, being that they can possibly bypass soul sand doors and other traps in the future. |

I always assumed the floating was a representation of "creeping", since sneaking players also "float" 0.125m over the ground like that. Not clear to me why it required "fixing". EDIT: Ah, it looks like the player floating while sneaking also got "fixed" in a recent snapshot. No worries since at least that's being consistent, but I wonder if anyone asked Notch if the floating while creeping/sneaking was on purpose. |

It was fixed in the latest snapshot. |

This has actually been around for a while, Dinnerbone has just noticed it about when 1.7.2 was released. I don't think that they are going to change that. It'd be a cool "bug" |

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. |

Pixels in a block = 16; 2/16 = 1/8. |

on the minecraft wiki page they say creepers float 2 pixels above the ground. |
| Comment by TS [ 26/Nov/12 ] |
|
It's two block pixels Talven, which is 1/8th of a block. |
| Comment by Talven81 [ 24/Nov/12 ] |
|
LOL TS it's far more than two pixels. Closer to 1/8th slab. |

The Creepers are walking always as they were walking on a layer of snow, whereas other mobs are sinking in the snow and thus walking normally on non-snow-covered blocks. |

Gabe it has nothing to do with lag. Try it yourself and see. Get down to ground level and see they are floating two pixels above the ground. |

Confirmed and able to reproduce on 1.4.5 |

Ive played and no creepers have done that. I would guess that this bug is due to lag. |
