 Description

Hello Mojang,

My son found this bug :
In options ... Controls ... you could put "ESCAPE" key everywhere. Example if you put on "Pick Block"

When playing solo and you closing a chest, one in two chance that the game crashes.

For fix it, blocked the Escape key.

See you in Paris for MINECON 2012 !

Bye

Edit :
Step 1 : put "ESCAPE" for "Pick Block"

Step 2 : open a chest

Step 3 : move the mouse over an item in his inventory

Step 4 : do ESCAPE

Cannot confirm with 1.4.6

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Bingo, confirmed that here as described on my own map, it doesn't seem to be map specific.

I think I found how to crash all the time!

Step 1 : put "ESCAPE" for "Pick Block"

Step 2 : open a chest

Step 3 : move the mouse over an item in his inventory

Step 4 : do ESCAPE

New test, same problem with Java updated.

You could test with the map I uploaded, please ?
This map was created this night with 1.4.5.

Ok Thx, tonight, I will upgrate my java and will test.

I can't reproduce this at all, but my Java is fully up-to-date so that might explain it.

Out of curiosity, does this still occur if you update your java? Your version is pretty outdated.
