 Description

Hello,

i found a problem with the newly added feature, where items gets pushed when they are in a transparent block. I encountered that while using my treefarm. When the leaves gets destroyed by the pistons there is the chance that the dropped sapling gets stuck in the extendeed piston arm. So in detail the item stuck between the arm and the piston block. When the piston retracts the item wouldn't push to the right side. Thats why i can't collect all of the dropped saplings any more which would make my farm useless. Doesn't matter if they are sticky or not.
Firstly I encountered that bug with the new 1.4.4 pre version.
You can easily reproduce that bug by building a piston wall and let them destroy leaves. You will see that sometimes the dropped saplings behave weird.

Was this a single player or multi-player/lan game?

  • both

Was the issue corrected after logging out and back in?

  • no

Was the issue corrected after closing the program and restarting?

  • no

Have you been able to reproduce this?

  • Like I said you can easily reproduce that bug.

No response in more than a month. Assuming this issue no longer happens.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Finally I uploaded some screenshots. First screen shows the view when you are inside the machine. The steps are now the following:
1. Place a sapling on the dirt block in front of the piston (picture 2).
2. Use bonemeal to grow the tree (picture 3).
3. U can activate the machine by flipping the lever. You see the logs of the tree form the tree gets pushed to the left from the pistons on the right. At the same time most of the leaves gets destroyed by the other pistons. Some of destroyed leaves drops now some saplings or apples (picture 4).

Before updating to the latest patch (having this issue since 1.4.4 pre) the dropped items rest inside the machine and only there.

Now with the recent patch you can find some of them outside the machine (picture 5 and 6).

I understand what's happening, but I don't really see the problem. Can you attach a screenshot of your setup?

I also have this issue with prerelease 1.4.5 on a Mac OS X 10.7.5, with Java 1.6.0_37 64bits, playing on multiplayer.
