i was experimenting with mine carts when all of a sudden a zombie came...so i killed and and it dropped rotten flesh right on the rail. when my empty mine cart came around the corner it got stopped by the rotten flesh What I expected to happen was the mine cart driving through it Steps to Reproduce: |

The minecart is also stopped when ridden by a player. IMO at least in this case the player should pick up the item without stopping the minecart. |

really? lol this is the first time i had heard about it.... and it really messes up some redstone contraptions when you make a mob killer for example and they drop loot. it would stop the mine cart and you would have to manually push it agian |

I believe this is not a bug and may be intentional as this has been around for a while and many big names in Minecraft have commented on this occourance in the past. |
