 Description

Not sure if this is intentional or not, but the lighting from glowstone blocks lights up the areas around and above it more than the area below it. This makes lighting up a room using glowstone above you ineffective, especially for underground farms, where space can be limited depending on the size of room that is created. This happens in every game mode.

Unable to reproduce in 12w49a aswell.

Cannot reproduce.
Built a room 7 x 7 x 7, placed a Glowstone in the front wall.
With smooth_lighting off, you can see that the lighting is quite equally distributed.

Flying below the ceiling gives a light level of 11 and standing in the hole in the floor (eye level !) gives also light level 11.
