 Description

This bug was probably not discovered because these mobs generally do not interact.

there is a flaw i am not sure whether it is due to increase hit range speed or knockback but iron golems are no longer capable of killing zombie pigs as they are stunlocked and unable to aim or attack the. this defeats the purpose of the iron golems as they are supposed to be exceedingly durable guardians. if they can be stunlocked and killed by a single zombie pig man than they need immunity to knockback or improvements to their aiming to compensate for the deloctation.

Yes this seems to have fixed it.

Dunno if it matters now but this was fixed in 12w50b when MC-133 was fixed, least from what I can see based from in-game experience with Iron Golems and Enderman/Zombie Pigmen.

I understand, and, before 1.3, they could manage to kill Zombie Pigmen and Enderman, pretty much anything, but ever since the bug in MC-133 affected them, they get stun locked by other mobs and players as well. IF Mojang could fix that bug, I can pretty much bet you this one will be fixed as well, as the golem wouldn't cancel its attack at, for example, the Zombie Pigmen. This is what happens and it is annoying, I've seen plenty of my golems die because of it.

actually this is a separate issue zombie pigs are meant to be high damage player killing mobs however they should not be able to stun lock a golem made of iron twice their size not to mention the golem takes no damage reduction and is killed easily which defeats the purpose of the creature as a guardian. additionally with a lack of a health gauge of some kind it is possible to know if my golems need a potion or not and many times they die of low health when they could have been healed.

these are incredible utility mobs and there needs to be a bit more attention paid to them so that they can actually do their intended job of fending off large groups of mobs.

This is because Iron Golems are slightly bugged, as well as some other mobs that have the new AI, check out MC-133 for a bit more info on this.
