What's the problem: I don't see the green loading progress bar, the one you normally see when updating Minecraft, when creating a world, regardless of game modes. What I expected: I expect myself to see a loading progress bar whenever I create a new world, and it should appear when it's building terrain and converting worlds. How to reproduce:

Well they did add a percentage completion in the 1.13 snapshot so this should probably be reopened. |

It became a bug in 1.3 because of the multiplayer restructuring. I'm guessing they won't fix it because it will affect SMP? Still, the fact that all the in-game transitions were broken and won't be fixed kinda sucks. |

roadsguy, its because Mojang (Searge in this case) said so. Does every bug report that gets resolved as intended need an explanation as to why said resolution was chosen? |

|
Why is this intended? |

Perhaps someone could just report it again and close this one? |

To the mods: Can anyone help monitoring this issue? I'm going to start my conscription service soon, and I won't be available to continue tracking this issue. As of now, this issue is still valid. Is it also possible to transfer ownership to another person? Thanks in advance. |

|
Yes, it's still a concern. I just don't have free time for now. I'm still monitoring this issue. |
| Comment by [Mod] Ezekiel (ezfe) [ 29/Jun/13 ] |
|
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. |

Tom Lee, it's been a while but this is not the server that I'm using. I ran the launcher in a command prompt with 'java -Xmx800M -jar minecraft.jar' and the console window displayed debug info from the game. i made a singleplayer world and it said this. Since singleplayer is now a local server combined with a client, this works for singleplayer mode. |

this was like that since 1.3.1 |

@FireHunterX Updated the title just for you. Although, I'm not sure how I should rephrase my title for that. Would you like to suggest a title for me? |
| Comment by FireHunterX [ 08/Jun/13 ] |
|
Also it would be a good idea to update the title, because this happens whenever there should be a loading bar, not just when creating a world |

I can't tell if this issue should be marked with "Future release - 1.5.1" for the pre-release 1.5.1, or not. As far as I know, I'm going to keep following the snapshot updates and prereleases until this issue is fixed. According to this link here, this issue is still not resolved. |
| Comment by Tom Lee [ 18/Mar/13 ] |
|
@Wyatt Ward It could. But it didn't do that back in the 1.3 days. |
| Comment by Wyatt Ward [ 18/Mar/13 ] |
|
@Tom Lee Yes this is a server-sided issue. But my point is the minecraft client could read this from the server. |
| Comment by Aidan Scotland [ 18/Mar/13 ] |
|
I know, it still would be cool |
| Comment by Tom Lee [ 17/Mar/13 ] |
|
To Aidan Scotland: That would be a feature request. It has nothing to do with this issue, which was that the loading bar once had been working before. |
| Comment by Aidan Scotland [ 17/Mar/13 ] |
|
They should also add the green bar when you join a server! |
| Comment by Tom Lee [ 17/Mar/13 ] |
|
This has not been fixed, as of Minecraft 1.5. |
| Comment by FireHunterX [ 06/Mar/13 ] |
|
I do think that the intended feature was to include the loading bar, to avoid confusion. I've had some worlds that just will not either convert or build, and I used to figure this out by watching the bar and waiting for it to get stuck. What causes the bar to not show, I have not figured out yet, but this is certainly a confusing issue. |

Please vote then. |

|
wasn't this removed in 1.3? |
| Comment by Aidan Scotland [ 19/Feb/13 ] |
|
This for whatever reason was one of the coolest things about the game that broke. I hope mojang fixes this! |
| Comment by Tom Lee [ 02/Feb/13 ] |
|
@Wyatt Ward: This bug is related to single player mode. The percentages shown in your image works as intended from the server console, which is unrelated to this issue. |

oops just separately reported this |

Yeah, I don't know what's up with this. :/ |
