The repeater locked but the lamp is on

The wire may have updated instantly, but you would expect the one that is closer to be updated first, because both repeaters are set at the same delay. In the first picture the first repeater turns on, then the second repeater locks it. In the second picture the second repeater turns on, and the first repeater never turns on. In both cases the repeater connected to the lamp is closer, and both repeaters have the same delay. So it's inconsistent that the lamp lights up in only one case.

Thanks, I haven't really used them all that much.

Yes they do. You can even adjust the delay whilst they are locked

Comment by FireHunterX [ 10/Jan/13 ]

Do locked repeaters keep the delay they were set to before they were locked?

Also, you COULD just increase the delay in the repeater that locks the other one, which is unpowered.

No. Wire updated instantly, but repeaters update after x ticks. This is intended behavior.

Comment by Dark Chowder [ 10/Jan/13 ]

I think this is still a bug, it should really be updating those in order of signal strength from the source, so in both cases the lamp should be on.

From what I can tell from the screenshots alone, this is working as intended. If you believe there is a bug, please give us more details to work from.

i dont think its a bug.
if you lock the redstone repeater when its on it shouldn't go off

Mojang are definitely appreciative of the help - however, this is not how a bug tracker works. You don't post a bug and then expect instant feedback on your bug. You wait for Mojang to get round to it, and comment in their own time. There are a lot of bugs here, and that isn't going to change. These guys are only human.

some people helping you. me too

Comment by Yoann Petremann [ 24/Oct/12 ]

And I don't see any bugs here, can you put in your original thread ; steps to have your bug, what did you expect, what it does.

The new repeater feature was maked to lock the repeater to it's latest unlocked state ( it's the way I have understand it, used it and explain to somes peoples that don't understand ...)

Yeah, and this is the last warning. Be patient.

It's bloody 1:14 AM and I'm still fixing bugs and spending time here, we're not robots.

Comment by [Mojang] Grum (Erik Broes) [ 24/Oct/12 ]

Has to do with an inconsistent order of updating redstone wire.

i am waiting 45 minute

Comment by Talven81 [ 24/Oct/12 ]

Please stop commenting "I'm waiting", "reply", "hello", over and over, as these comments do not help the situation and become a nuisance. Your bug report is no more important than anyone else's and continuous comments may have the exact opposite effect of what you want which seems to be an immediate reply. Users, mods, and Mojang have many bug reports to go through, therefore may not reply immediately.

I'm waiting
