although not a bug, i consider a quirk. i think it is a MISSING feature, as it doesn't make sense that i just lit myself on fire and do not emit any light. |

Yes. Only blocks and the sun can give off light. |

You are right, this would be very nice. But currently this works as intended. There is no dynamic lighting in Minecraft. This is not a bug. |
