When rain starts, while i have particles set on minimal, rain doesn't make sound. Sound of thunder work's fine. Not sure, if this is a bug, but it seems wierd to me, specialy when thunder make sound but rain itself don't. |

"Works as intended" is silly. I know it's engine thing, the sound is bound to particles, but, it would make more sense if you CAN HEAR THE RAIN WHEN IT'S RAINING. Also confirmed for 1.8.3. |

Some people may not wish to turn off their volume or turn it down to just reduce the loud rain sound, a mob or something may sneak up on them because of that. This is an easy way for people to still have their volume up and listen to their surroundings while not being bothered by such a constant, loud sound around them. |

why would it be intended, thats the reason there are volume controls |

I actually prefer it that way. |

yes, but of course, rain sound is supposed to happen, even if no particles are created... (sorry, bad english, i'm from brazil) |

This is because the sound of the rain is tied to the raindrop particle. Since those particles don't get created when particles are on minimal, you hear no rain sound. |

I think that's intended |
