 Description

I think there is a big issue with Mojang. With every new "feature" comes at least one new bug. But instead of fixing it you just ignore them and work on the next buggy version of Minecraft.

"We’ve now reached the point where we’ve fixed so many that we spend more and more time wondering “haven’t we fixed that already?” and “I wonder if this will break anything else…”"

That is excactly the problem at Mojang. But you guys prefer "In other words, it’s time to look forward to a new official update!" Great.

What update? Implementing strawberries? How about donkeys because there aren't enough annoying sounds in the game. But seriously: How about fixing the bugs? If you can't keep track of what you fixed and what not then that might be an issue you guys should fix in the first place.

The community and all the modders are waiting for the API.

Fix the bugs, implement the API and then retire. That's the only to fix this issue.

So, there is this bugtracker... And then there are these issues... And devs are totally crushing them... If you had posted this a year ago I would probably agree with you. Your a little late on the "You should be fixing bugs" bandwagon. Closing issue as invalid.

The thing is, fixing bugs rather than adding features is exactly what Mojang is doing right now, thanks to this site, so I don't quite see the problem.
Those two quotes were most likely said in good humour rather than entirely literally, though through programming experience I can vouch for the fact that fixing a bug has a tendency to produce more. Not to say they aren't doing their jobs properly, though! (Hooray for double negatives)
Mojang work very hard on Minecraft, and while it may not seem like it, the API is most certainly underway and the Dev Team is working tirelessly on these bugs (exemplified in all the bug fixes of 1.4.3).
That's all from me.

True. That might fix all the problems. Or wait. Being rude and stupid might fix them.
