 Description

I think the texture of gravel and cobbles after version 1.3 is often confuse. If I use both to construction, to look pretty much the same, it narrows the width of the creative. In addition, the texture does not look like gravel. I think that texture and should be returned to the previous texture.

Minecraft textures just try to ressemble their real-life version. There is no bad design neither, since we can read the tooltip and you can distinguish it by the lighter and pinker texture of the gravel. It also helps to set the GUI to a bigger resolution.

Sorry. It was thoughtless....

It is a /graphical/ error, not a /coding/ error, true. Neverthless it is still a problem.

This is the texture pack Minecraft. This is not a bug.

For me, they're sufficiently distinguishable at full block size, but I'm constantly confusing them in the inventory screens, and it's bad enough that I consider it a genuine graphics/UI error. Having two blocks confusable wouldn't be so bad, except that cobble and gravel are two of the most commonly-encountered blocks in the game. That's poor UI design.
When you have a game with 40000000 users, you can no longer assume they all have the acute eyesight of a young adult, and failing to cater for a wider user base starts to become inconsiderate.

They honestly look very little alike, and this isn't a bug either. If anything, use a texture pack.
