 Description

So, when I place a Beacon block with pyramid under it, the beam should appear, on single player there's no problem, but on multi player that beam doesn't rotate.

What I expected to happen was...:
the beam will rotate.

What actually happened was...:
the beam doesn't rotate.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Join to multiplayer server
2. Put beacon block with pyramid somewhere
3. Activate it.

The rotation is compute from world time, in multiplayer, this is send by the server...

It's only on big servers. it's server-side rotation I think.

Beacon works fine on my server. If the beam isn't showing, perhaps there is a block above it.

Most probably caused by lag.
Beacon Beam rotates on the servers I play on.

Perhaps that's a Bukkit related bug. Does the server you joined use Bukkit?
Have you tried with a Mojang “official” Minecraft server?
