Still present in 1.4.3 (and 1.4.1 if that matters). EDIT: and 1.4.5 EDIT2: and 12w50a.

well @Grum (Erik Broes) the comination is needed on my laptop because f11 and f11+fn are two different things. F11 just turns volume up but when its fn+alt+f11 you get fullscreen. But also when you do alt+f11 like it asks it opens up sound preferences.

Are you guys not using java's fullscreen exclusive mode? It should work almost exactly the same (at the application level, of course) on all systems.
Also, it's not OSX's fullscreen mode. OSX's fullscreen mode creates a new Space (a desktop in Mission Control); Minecraft's fullscreen mode does not.

I think this is an OSX 'special' fullscreen mode. (Apparently it also works on windows ... well not really ;D)
There is simply no supported fullscreen on OSX from minecraft right now. Should be fixed in a future client though.

Not sure where this keybind is coming from, probably lwjgl.

Confirmed, and the converse is true if you use the options menu to turn fullscreen ON, then use the shortcut to turn it off.
