 Description

Crouching and placing liquids at the edge of a block seems broken.

I expected it to place the source block on the outlined solid block.

Instead, it places the source block, and then the source block slides into the next block.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Aim for a blocks edge, such that crouching will highlight it, but uncrouched will highlight the next block,
2. crouch
3. place a liquid source block on it.
It seems to place and then slide it to where it thinks it should be.

Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w08a? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Please update affected versions: add Minecraft 1.7.2, Minecraft 1.7.4. Reproduced by MC-42835.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.6.4 / Launcher version 1.2.5 ? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Same with lily pads.

Hooray, searching before posting a new issue saves me from an embarrassing incident.
I can certainly vouch for this, and it's a particularly annoying bug which has been present for as long as I can remember.
Despite the fact that this is one of the relatively early bug reports, I'm surprised that this hasn't yet been fixed.
As a result, nudges this issue

Not sure if this is the same bug, but once I clicked on a sign with a bucket, but the water got placed behind the sign instead of in front
