 Description

In the 1.4.3 release, sometimes, when I open a chest, and leave the GUI open for around 5 seconds, the lid stays open but the closing sound plays while the GUI is still open. I noticed this with all of the chests on my survival world.

If the "opening and waiting 5 seconds" method doesn't seem to work for you, try this:
Open the chest, leave the GUI open for about 3-5 seconds.
Close the chest by exiting out of the GUI.
Open the chest again for 5 seconds, then wait for the closing sound to play before exiting the GUI. This is similar to the older, multi-chest bug, where, opening one chest, then a second one in rapid succession before the first could close completely, would leave the first chest open permanently.
