I checked another issue, it said it was a duplicate of this issue, and this onee has duplicates. god, why?

Comment by mike loeven [ 16/Nov/12 ]

if it is only players that can jump them i say mark it works as intended

Comment by Aden McKinley [ 06/Nov/12 ]

ohhh - now it makes sense

Comment by Richard Cox [ 06/Nov/12 ]

@Aden: There were fixes to walls in 1.4.3 (eg. MC-1332) so likely this issue was introduced while fixing some other aspect of wall behaviour.

Comment by Aden McKinley [ 06/Nov/12 ]

I agree it should be fixed (it is fixed for later versions)

I would like to know whether this was a bug or if Mojang did this on purpose? - how would i find out?

I just think it would have only broken if they did something to modify it

Comment by Rodney Bonner [ 02/Nov/12 ]

I like the idea of them acting like a fence and I think most people considered them as such and were using them heavily because of it.

I understand where Credomane is coming from, but the thing is that the block becomes substantially less useful if it goes from being a fence to just a decorative block. If it has the properties of a fence it can serve both roles.

Comment by Kresimir [ 02/Nov/12 ]

Yes, please fix...

Comment by Credomane Evonguard [ 02/Nov/12 ]

I kinda thought cobblestone and mossy walls were not meant to be fences. Unlike wooden fences their model doesn't extend to the top of the block which lead me to believe they weren't intended as a fence. Yes, the corner piece does but that wasn't my point.

Vote for fix.

All my live stock is escaping. Cows are jumping over the fence (1.4.3)
I had no problem prior of that pre-release

Comment by Leon [ 01/Nov/12 ]

hit them!

Comment by Chalmes (Jon) [ 01/Nov/12 ]

Are you sure? Cows just looked lost when I tried to lead them out with wheat out of a cobblestone-fenced area.

Comment by Leon [ 01/Nov/12 ]

Each animal can jump over cobblestone walls because of the bugs. Since 1.4 Mobs no longer trying to jump over walls, but they can.

Comment by Chalmes (Jon) [ 01/Nov/12 ]

Chickens can also jump over, villagers can't.

Comment by Chalmes (Jon) [ 01/Nov/12 ]

Oh, I like this bug. Can confirm player can jump over walls, but Zombies and cows can't.
