Chickens born from an egg thrown into a wall sometimes get stuck in the block they got shot at dying from suffocation. |

It has to do with mob's hitboxes getting slightly bigger when they grow up, so they can go partially into a block and suffocate or escape if it's made of a non-solid block like glass |

This also happens to spiders when you use a spider egg on a wall in creative mode. Possibly related? |

Maybe. Basically my chicken farm has a tower floating in air in middle so I can something to throw eggs at. Once a while a chicken spawns mostly inside it and dies. Easy to do, just be creative and throw few of em into wall. |
