No, definitely still exists in 1.8.

Comment by Jasper van den Berg [ 13/Sep/14 ]

It works fine for me in 1.8

14w33a, haven't tried it in 34 yet

@Connor,
Please be specific. Which ones (latest one)?

Comment by C_moneySmith [ 20/Aug/14 ]

Affects 1.8 snapshots

MC-67398 was oddly resolved as intended.

I'd also like to add that you have no basis for "Not a bug"

Comment by [Mod] Torabi [ 17/May/14 ]

Due to bugi74's comment, I'd say it's quite likely this is a bug. In fact, I can confirm that there is a bug:

Test 1
  1. Fly through a nether portal.
  2. Step out of the portal.
  3. Push and hold the jump key.
  • You will jump repeatedly.
Test 2
  1. Fly through a nether portal.
  2. Step out of the portal.
  3. Save and quit.
  4. Reload the world.
  5. Push and hold the jump key.
  • You will fly upwards.

Not a bug.

Affects 1.7.5.

Is this still a concern in the latest Minecraft version 14w08a? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Comment by Markku [ 21/Dec/13 ]

Affects 1.7.4.

Comment by [Mod] CubeTheThird [ 26/Sep/13 ]

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version 1.6.4 / Launcher version 1.2.5 ? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

The backing flying state is not affected - if one leaves and rejoins the world, he flies again. Seems that the relevant code does something that makes the player entity behave as if not flying, or forgets to do something that would reinstate flying in the target dimension (server).

Sounds good to me.

Comment by 5ives [ 06/Nov/12 ]

Yes, my bug is that flying is inconsistent through portals and MC-348 is that MC crashes when trying to enter a Nether portal and when the world is loaded again you are stuck in the obsidian from the portal, savvy?

Comment by Do [ 06/Nov/12 ]

Is it? Hang on...

I had it marked as a duplicate of MC-348. It looks pretty much the same to me, but it's late here... what am I missing?

edit - I see, you weren't stuck in the floor, just touching it. Maybe related?

Hey, what, this is a different bug!

Edit: Thanks Do!
