 Description

When a lava bucket is dispensed from a dispenser, and the dispenser is oriented facing North, West, East, or South, the dispenser dispenses a lava source block. However, when the dispenser is facing up or down, as can be done in 1.5, it dispenses the entire lava bucket as an item. This is inconsistent with the use of a dispenser, especially since we now have the dropper to drop the item as an entity if desired.

Agreed. Thank you, and apologies for not knowing that it is not related to vanilla MC.

See screenshot of vanilla server.

This ticket is invalid as it relates to a modded or 3rd party client/server.

  • Any non-standard client/server build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
  • Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the plugin creator.
  • This site is for addressing issues related to the base unmodded MineCraft.

Also unable to reproduce in SSP, It does occur in SMP. I do have a concern that i might be slightly misguided, as this is happening in a bukkit server, but i have looked for the bug there and it seems to not be reported. Does anyone know if the issue happens on vanilla servers?

Edit: I have checked where the issue has happened on my bukkit server, and it IS a dispenser, not a dropper. The only issue remaining in my mind is whether or not i am mistaken and the issue is bukkit, not mojang.

Unable to reproduce. Be sure you aren't using a dropper by mistake.
