 Description

After a while my Minecraft graphics messes up and make blocks green and red and flashing.
I have tried everything uninstall directx and installed it again and also did that with: java, my video card driver, opengl and Minecraft.
I tried changing the settings in Minecraft, tried different texture packs and I tried optifine and giving minecraft more RAM

Butamoyasi, see MCL-22662 please.

I tried to do Mod with Minecraft 1.5.2 but a texture occurred. I thought it might be because of Mod, but when I tried vanilla, I found out that it wasn't because of Mod. I deleted all the files of Minecraft and tried again, but nothing changed. The symptoms of the bug were that the reticle was square, the surrounding blocks were reversed to red or green, Mob was invisible or black.

i dont think so. i had this issue before few days, with graphics card ATI Radeon HD 4800 series.

No more reported issues about this, resolving as fixed.

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases.

Wasn't sure if it was a school computer or not. If it was, then I would blame your school for the problem. Also say that you probably shouldn't install MC on a school system. What with the login and such.

I have no idea where to continue for finding problems; as such, I have upvoted the ticket, even though it does not affect me directly. It is probably a bug with the game, as is expected. Only thing I can suggest is to try to get a fix found indirectly; install mods to find one that seems to fix the problem, and when you find one that does, contact the mod's author and ask them why it works in the mod but not in vanilla. Also point them to the ticket so they can tell us what the problem is.

Of course, that is assuming that someone out there found and fixed the problem.

I used the vanilla launcher and installed lwjgl but that saddly didn't change anything.
And my account name is called school because it was supposed to be for school stuff but for some odd reason technic launcher didn't work on my normal account.

Comment by Chris Dusto [ 02/Apr/13 ]

Please use the VANILLA launcher, not Technic - I have a feeling that it might have some relation to the problem.

Vanilla as in you start minecraft.exe through Windows Explorer.

Also, why is the account name 'School'?

Comment by Nick Brantjes [ 02/Apr/13 ]

yes i just did that but again it didn't work,
but i tried using a console to see what is happening and i get this error:

2013-04-02 20:53:01 [INFO] [STDERR] [LWJGL] Failed to locate findLibrary method: java.lang.NoSuchMethodException: org.spoutcraft.launcher.launch.MinecraftClassLoader.findLibrary(java.lang.String)

I will also attach the whole log.

Comment by Chris Dusto [ 01/Apr/13 ]

Not sure if it will do anything, but have you tried updating the LWJGL?

tried a fresh install unmodded it was gone, but after 10 minutes everything was back to normal, flashing and red. ;_;

And the issue MC-11735 the same happens with me exept that the world is white and with me it's red and green.

Comment by Chris Dusto [ 01/Apr/13 ]

Have you tried on a clean install of Minecraft? No mods or texture packs?

How accuratly does MC-11735 describe your issue (excluding the specifics of the graphics card)?

Comment by Nick Brantjes [ 31/Mar/13 ]

I installed the driver in the link and the world holes are gone now but the red, green and flashing blocks are worse now!

Comment by Nick Brantjes [ 31/Mar/13 ]

Thanks for your help.
The provider is: Advanced micro devices, inc.
Date: 16-11-12
and the version is: 8.970.100.7000

Comment by Chris Dusto [ 30/Mar/13 ]

What is the version number of the graphics card driver?

Please press [ WinKey ] + [ Pause/Break ] to open the system properties window. Click on the Hardware tab, and click to open the Device Manager. Under Display adapters, your graphics card should be listed. Double-click it, open the Driver tab, and tell me the provider, date, and version.

Windows Update does not necessarily provide you with the latest driver version. Most of the time, you will have to download it yourself from the manufacturer's web site. Your particular card and operating system turns up at http://preview.tinyurl.com/ch7chou .

it's worse now, I don't only get this graphics weirdness I also get wordholes, in singleplayer!

Comment by Nick Brantjes [ 20/Mar/13 ]

already tried that and my graphics card is ati radeon HD 2400 pro

Comment by Chris Dusto [ 20/Mar/13 ]

Try updating the driver for the video card

— Please list graphics card when confirming/denying the glitch —
I don't get it on my Radeon HD 7520G, Win7, driver version 8.942.1.1000

Comment by Tails [ 15/Mar/13 ]

This ticket is invalid as it relates to a modded or 3rd party client/server.

  • Any non-standard client/server build needs to be taken up with the appropriate team, not Mojang.
  • Any plugin issues need to be addressed to the plugin creator.
  • This site is for addressing issues related to the base unmodded MineCraft.
