| Description |
|
I had 2 zombie villagers trapped in separate rooms of a home while they were being cured. Immediately upon being cured the one villager ran out of the door of the room and into the other room and was promptly eaten despite the zombie villager smashing on the door. Villagers should at least try to avoid zombies when possible instead of running at them mindlessly. Additionally, some villagers will run around aimlessly outside at night. |

Please create a new report for this. |

I can confirm that this still happens in the latest 1.9 snapshot 15w50a. Villagers tend to spend more time watching zombies instead of running away from them (They were in line of sight of the zombies). Although they were safe behind some fence gates, when I would try to attack the zombies, the villagers would often run into my line of sight and be hit instead |

Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version Minecraft 1.7.8 and Snapshot 14w11b or later? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. |

This is still an issue in 1.7.4 and the 1.8 snapshots. Can easily be replicated by spending a night or two inside a village. |

I still see them running around at night from time to time in the new update. |

And they fall down from bridges without a fence or anything else at the sides. |

They also seem to love jumping into open flames. They should really try to avoid direct harm. |

Part of this may be able to be reproduced. I have noticed that if you spawn a villager during the night that they do not make checks to see if it is night time. What you would expect is a villager to be spawned, and within a few ticks it would do something like: Pseudo Code if(isNight=true){ seekShelter } However this can also happen with pre-spawned villagers. Something makes me think when night falls that the AI does not receive the night trigger, or process the code telling them to take shelter, and does not check for night on a regular basis. |

I have the same problem. My villagers go in the middle of the night out of her house. |
